Smith Rock trip

Weekdays are when you want to be at Smith. First outdoor climb of the year. Temps were cold as heck at night but Portlanders thirsty for sunshine and vitamin D cannot be stopped. We camped out at Skull Hallow (BLM land) and rolled out.

We started at Rope de Dope to teach a new climber how to lead before moving across the creek to the Red Wall.

Fresh single pitch ticks: Purple Headed Warrior, How Low Can You Go?, Caffeine Free, 5 Gallon Buckets, Phone Call From Satan. And a couple others nearby. We finished Phone Call in the dark, climbing by headlamp. Good day out!
